Krislund Camp
Nestled on over 800 acres in scenic Centre County, Krislund offers faith-based summer camp programs in addition to year-round conference and retreat facilities. Krislund offers a wide variety of summer camp experiences for all ages, including camps for families and grandparents.

Sunday School

Adult Choir
The choir performs every Sunday throughout the school year, adding a lot of special music and often a cantata at Christmas and/or Easter, plus some special services. We have one of the finest small church choirs in our area, and Diana is wonderful at bringing out the best in everyone. The choir rehearses every Thursday night from 7:00 to 8:00pm.

Praise Band
We are in the process of reorganizing our praise band. The band leads the congregation in one or two praise choruses at the beginning of every worship service, and bring youthful energy and wonderful contemporary Christian music to our worship experience.

Junior Church
Jr. Church is for 3-year olds through 3rd graders and meets downstairs each Sunday after being dismissed from the sanctuary following the Children’s Sermon. There they are led by volunteers on a rotating basis, and have a time of active learning and play which is custom designed for their age level. Currently being formed.

Session (Board of Elders)
Session is the ruling board for Jersey Shore Presbyterian Church, consisting of 5 elders plus the pastor. Session meets the second Tuesday of the month, at 7:00 pm except for July and August. The first 10 minutes of each Session meeting is reserved for congregational feedback from anyone who wishes to come ask a question or make a suggestion

Board of Deacons
The Board of Deacons consists of 8 Deacons. They are elected by the congregation for a three year term in three equal and staggered classes. Those who serve in this capacity are also called of God through their election, are ordained and installed as Deacons. They meet the second Monday night of each month at 7:00pm, except during the summer.

Prayer Chains & Ministry
Consists of prayer chains, prayer lists in bulletins, congregational prayer project and prayer support boards.

Men’s Bible Study

Community Outreach and Missions Committee
Provides opportunities and training for in-church and personal evangelism; helps plan “bridge” events and local missions activities that serve our community; oversees publicity and visitor welcome and follow-up; helps ensure the integration of new members; decides how to distribute local missions funds to other ministries and agencies. Provides for education and nurture that helps members and attenders grow in faith and spiritual maturity as disciples of Jesus Christ; oversees the nursery, Sunday School, youth ministry, VBS, small group Bible studies, parent and family education, and the educational component of other activities such as Lenten programs.

Buildings and Grounds Committee
Provides for the maintenance and repair of our church properties, including the buildings, grounds, and equipment; organizes church work days; works with the Treasurer to make sure we have adequate insurance coverage.

Worship and Personnel Committee
Plans with the Pastor, for the regular and special services of worship; oversees sanctuary appointments, flowers, candles, and musicians (with the Music Director); ensures approval and preparations to administer the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion; does other tasks listed in the Book of Order, W-1.4000; develops the prayer life of the congregation; and plans for the future. Supports and facilitates the work of the paid staff of the church, helping provide for a healthy work environment, and for the nurture and growth of staff members, including employment of non-ordained staff, with concern for equal employment opportunity, fair employment practices, personnel policies, and the annual review of the adequacy of compensation for all staff, including all employees.

Nominating Committee
A committee of the congregation, not Session, and so not under Session oversight except as provided in the Book of Order. Two elders are appointed to it from Session and one deacon from the Board of Deacons. This committee nominates church members for election as Elders or Deacons, and assists in discerning the Spiritual gifts and interests of members for the purpose of recruiting members to committees.
